Being eco-conscious with a baby is easy and switching to (or starting with) cloth diapers is probably one of the easiest green changes you can make! You'll notice a big impact on your wallet (as in, it's a lot fatter) while you're softening your impact on the planet - not to mention that cloth diapers are simply healthier for your baby.

Earth Day is a day that was designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It is held annually during both spring (in the northern hemisphere) and autumn (in the southern hemisphere). It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in back in 1970 and is still celebrated internationally in many countries every year.
There are many planned neighborhood events for Earth Day. If you want to find one in your area, visit http://ww2.earthday.net/.
If you're looking for great ideas that you can do with your kids to celebrate, visit http://holidays.kaboose.com/earth-day/ for some fun projects that will get the whole family involved. It's never too early or too late to consider ways to lessen our impact on our planet. Little Pea Pods would love to post some of your pictures and ideas of how you and your family celebrate Earth Day on our blog. Send your images to camille@littlepeapods.com.
